Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born to a music-loving family. The majority of her youth listening to classical music Boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic tunes along with classic classical music. Ana is a fan of tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of drama. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to give her more intense training in singing. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. After relocating into the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with the traditional Latin American music at private performances. Her passion for the performing arts, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects for both an artist as well as a instructor. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
